A nice looking, simple and easy install, for anyone. These are heavy built. The machining is done superbly, and I should know, I've done machining for 32 years. I use a small pilot bit, like a .0625, and then I use a .500 Forstner bit. From the inside of the shell, I drill into it until I have made at least a sixteenth of an inch deep. Then I turn the shell over and finish the hole from the outside. this way there is no splintering. The vent fits nice and tite, and once you thread the nut on, and tighten it down, it will never loosen.Enjoy.
