I ordered 8 of these for a custom build on an old Slingerland Festival chrome snare shell. I ordered them with brass plating and am extremely pleased with the quality! No internal spring means no nasty rattle. The female threaded inserts are brass plated as well, making for a seamless look when using brass tension rods. Another great product from DFD at a price that can't be beat!
