Although I just took delivery of this thing last night, on Christmas Eve 2012, I must say I'm amazed by how heavy this strainer truly is. It feels like it weighs about a pound. This strainer also appears to perform just as if it were the more expensive Ludwig P-85, but for half the cost! I look forward to mounting it onto a snare drum I plan to custom-build later on in 2013.
I also marvel at the fact this model makes use of drum-key style bolts to secure the snares into place, though I've seen this design on Gibraltar models before as well.
