These are very nice brackets! The 1 7/8" hole spacing is the same as the classic Ludwig bracket, as well as many generic and MIJ (Made In Japan) brackets. These are excellent replacements for the generic type brackets, because they have an eye bolt (as opposed to screwing against the leg directly) and they are of much better quality. I even prefer these to the classic Ludwig brackets for several reasons. A) These use an 8mm threaded eye bolt with a nicely sized wing nut. The Ludwig uses a 5/16" threaded eye bolt and the included T-nut on it is way too big. Trying to find a suitable replacement is tough, as the hardware store only has small 5/16" wingnuts that are hard to grip. B) They are less than half the price of the Ludwig brackets. C) These sit further away from the shell than the Ludwig brackets do, which means there is plenty of room for the floor tom legs to clear the bottom hoop. The Ludwig brackets sit closer to the shell, so sometimes there isn't enough room for the legs to clear the bottom hoop, thereby resulting in scratching of the hoop and metal to metal contact and rattle. Overall these look great and do the job nicely. I will be buying more of them in the future.
