These are excellent, well made claws and they do have a very unique look. One word of caution on these: Due to their design, the head of the tension rod (the part the drum key fits on) sits much lower on these than on a traditional claw hook. On a typical claw hook, the head of the tension rod sits either flush or sticks a little bit out from the front of the hoop. On these, the head of the tension rod sits about half way width wise on the hoop, much closer to the lugs. As such, your existing tension rods might be too long, especially if you have a small, shallow lug that you are using it with. This was the case for me; my existing tension rods were "bottoming out" because they sit much closer to the lugs, it gave the effect of the tension rods being longer. I had to get shorter tension rods to make it work. These are very cool and unique, and work great, but just be aware that your existing tension rods may be too long with these.
