I just finished installing the 3.0 batter and snare side hoops on my 1957 WFL, replacing the 2.3 hoops. WOW, what a difference! Being that they are triple flanged, the aesthetics of the drum hasn't changed but the timbre has become more focused while still retaining a slight bit of ring, which I like. Combined with the white nylon tension rod washers that I added, tuning is a breeze and it stays in tune. Excellent quality product at the best price on the internet!
