I ordered both the batter and snare side 3.0 hoops to replace the pitted and slightly unloved bater hoop on my 1977 Ludwig Supraphonic . I waxed both hoops with Renaissance wax for protection and installed them both as soon as I rec'd (which was 2days earlier than projected). I noticed the solid feel and sound quality of the tuning right away on both snare head and batter head. Very pleased with the chroming and heavy feel of these hoops.
