These spurs are really nice and look quite natural in the rhythm traveler kit (RT705HC) for which I got them. The length is good, it looks strong and keeps the bass drum in the air and without moving anywhere, and the thickness is acceptable - it could be around 1.5mm thicker for a perfect fit on this drum, though it would be better only for the eyes as it already works perfectly.
You can choose between a pointy metal tip that's perfect for stopping movement on a rug or a raw wooden floor, though maybe tearing and wearing them somewhat... Or use the plastic thingy, but it looks somewhat hard and slippery. So far it seems the best is to combine the two on a rug, letting out the metal point just a bit, something like 1.5mm so it cannot get too deep into the rug.
So far I'm glad I chose this one, and I trust it'll stay this way, thus I bravely recommend it to anybody in need of something similar :-) Have fun drumming!
